When
a high efficiency boiler was needed for the state of the art
heating system at Threshing Barn, a natural choice was Eco-Avance
II, the oil fired condensing boiler manufactured by Aquaflame
Ltd. With a full range of outputs up to 38 kW, Eco-Avance
II has an output suitable for most domestic and light commercial
applications.
At Threshing Barn, Eco-Avance II
has been installed into the boiler room with a high-level
horizontal flue providing heat and hot water to the computer
controlled under floor heating system. The aesthetics of the
installation was also a consideration and the flue system
was adapted on site to ensure minimal external impact on the
brick end gable.
Eco-Avance II is energy rated SEDBUK Band A, the most efficient
band available for oil heating boilers. It’s energy rating
means it will use less fuel than traditional oil boilers and
can cut fuel costs by up to 20 %. Whilst saving fuel costs
is a primary factor, when installing Eco-Avance II, another
benefit is the reduced impact on the environment. As less
fuel is used, Eco-Avance II produces fewer carbon emissions,
and if installed in a typical home could save up to 1.5 tonnes
of carbon for a family of four per annum. Eco-Avance II has
also been designed to be 95% recyclable when it eventually
requires replacement.
Eco-Avance II surpasses the requirements of Part L Building
Regulations and can be installed with the knowledge that it
incorporates tried and tested reliability. Manufactured within
